3rd World Telugu Conference begins today in Hyderabad

The third World Telugu Conference is all set to begin this evening in Hyderabad amidst much fanfare. The aim of the Conference is to promote Telugu and its literature besides helping the present generation learn more about Telugu language and its rich culture and heritage. <br/><br/>Telangana Government has put in place elaborate arrangements for the 5-day event for which about eight thousand Telugu speaking delegates from 40 countries all over the globe will be taking part.<br/><br/>Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu will be formally inaugurating the Conference this evening while 50 thousand participants are expected to witness the literary-cultural event. <br/><br/>President Ram Nath Kovind will participate in the valedictory function on 19th of this month. <br/><br/>Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Governor ESL Narasimhan, Maharashtra Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao will be present at the inaugural function. Jnanpith awardees Satya Vrat Shastri, Sitakant Mahapatra and Pratibha Ray will also take part in the event.<br/><br/>AIR Correspondent says, it will be all about Telugu in the city of pearls for next 5 days. Telugu poems, Telugu literature, and Telugu culture will take the centre-stage as the World Telugu Conference commences at the Lal Bahadur Stadium this evening. <br/><br/>Introducing the rich linguistic heritage to the present generation, the venues and dais are named after eminent Telugu legends and linguistic personalities.
