3rd Test: England at stumps 268/ 8 in 1st innings against India

England were 268 for 8 against India on the opening day of the third Cricket Test at Mohali at stumps today. Umesh Yadav, Jayant Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja claimed two wickets each while Mohammed Shami and Ravi Chandran Ashwin shared one wicket. India made two changes, handing Test debut to Karun Nair in place of injured KL Rahul and replacing Wriddhimnan Saha with Parthiv Patel, who is back in the Test side for the first time since August 2008. India is currently leading the five Test series, 1-0. They had won the last game at Visakhapatnam by 246 runs. The first Test had ended in a draw.
