3rd Test, Day 2: India 120/1, trail Australia by 331 runs

Chasing Australia's first innings score of 451, India made 120 runs losing only one wicket on the second day of the third Test match in Ranchi. Murli Vijay at 42 and Cheteshwar Pujara at 10 were at the crease at the close of play this evening. Opener KL Rahul contributed with solid 67 runs before being cought on the bowling of Cummins. India now trail by 331 runs with 9 wickets in hand.Earlier, Australia added 152 runs to their overnight score of 299 for 4, losing six wickets today. Skipper Steve Smith and Glenn Maxwell led Australia's dominance. While Smith remained unbeaten with 178, Maxwell scored his maiden Test hundred in his fourth Test appearance. For India, Ravindra Jadeja claimed five wickets, giving away 124 runs. Umesh Yadav got 3 wickets while one wicket fell to Ravichandran Ashwin.
