3rd Science Conclave begins in UP

In Uttar Pradesh, the one week long country’s Third Science Conclave has begun at Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad. AIR Lucknow correspondent reports a galaxy of 50 eminent scientists, Nobel Scientists and 1500 participants from different states are participating in the conclave. Speaking at the inaugural session, Dr. Roald Hoffmann, winner of Nobel Prize in Chemistry, 1981 focused on the different dimensions of human being. Later, delivering a lecture on the topic ‘Chemistry’s Essential Tensions: Three Views of Science’ he said that there is chemistry even before there were art, craft, and business and even before there was science. Prof Richard R Ernst, Nobel Prize recipient in Chemistry, 1991 put focus on the destruction done by the human beings being more then what is being created new.
