3rd meeting of India-Kuwait Joint Ministerial Commission to be held in Kuwait from 18-20 September

Third meeting of India-Kuwait Joint Ministerial Commission for Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technological Cooperation will be held in Kuwait from 18-20 of this month. Minister of State for External Affairs M J Akbar will lead the Indian delegation. This is his first official visit to Kuwait. <br/><br/>External Affairs Ministry in a release said, during the visit, the entire gamut of bilateral relations would be reviewed and priorities set for future cooperation.The relations between India and Kuwait are marked by regular high-level visits. <br/><br/>These visits have sustained the necessary momentum in further cementing our mutually beneficial ties encompassing a wide range of political, commercial, energy and diaspora related issues. <br/><br/>AIR correspondent reports, Kuwait has been an important trading partner for us with a total trade of 5.95 billion dollars in 2016-2017. It is also the seventh largest crude supplier to us in 2016-17. <br/><br/>Several Indian EPC companies are working in Kuwait. Over 900,000 strong Indian community in Kuwait has been contributing to the development of their host country.
