3rd International Yoga Day being celebrated world-wide

The third International Yoga Day is being celebrated world-wide. From New Delhi to New York and Paris to Panama, the stage is set for the Yoga Day celebrations as About 5,000 events will be held across 180 countries to mark the day.<br/><br/>The celebrations are taking place across all the continents. Indian missions coordinating activities in landmark places such as Eiffel Tower in Paris, Trafalgar Square in London and Central Park in New York. <br/><br/>According to the United Nations, UN, the theme of this year is "Yoga for Health". The theme highlights the fact that yoga can contribute in a holistic way to achieving an equilibrium between mind and body. <br/><br/>The World Health Organization, WHO, is also striving to promote yoga to create better health in the society. It said the ancient art can be practised by people of all ages to stay fit and fight lifestyle illnesses.<br/>Yesterday to mark the Day, yoga enthusiasts performed 'asanas' at iconic landmarks including China's Great Wall and Britain's London Eye. Several other events were held in various countries.
