The third day's play in the Duleep Trophy final match between North Zone and South Zone was called off without even a single ball being bowled due to unplayable conditions at the Nehru stadium in Kochi today.The umpires, who inspected the outfield found the condition were not conducive for play following heavy rainlast night. The Umpires S S Hazare and S L Shastri along with T V Umpire P G Pathak inspected the pitch in the morning and and again 1430 hours.The first day's play was also called off. On the second day, only 10 overs could be bowled.South Zone, who were batting first, have scored 33 runs losing two wickets in their first innings.
