<br/>In Assam, the third All India Editors’ Conference on Social and Infrastructure issues will be held in Guwahati from Monday. The two-day conference, organized by Press Information Bureau, is likely to be attended by around sixty newspaper editors from all over the country. The State Chief Minister Mr. Tarun Gogoi will inaugurate the conference in presence of the Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Ms. Ambika Soni at Hotel Nakshatra in the city Monday after noon. The Conference will be attended among others by the Union Minister for Minority Affairs Mr. Salman Khurshid and the Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Mr. C.M.Jatua and Secretary, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Mr. Raghu Menon. The Information and Broadcasting Minister will inaugurate an exhibition on Bharat Nirman put up by the Directorate of Advertising and Visual Publicity at the Sankardeva Kalakshetra after her arrival in Guwahati on Monday. A regional conference of media heads of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting will also be held in this connection at the Assam Administrative Staff College at Khanapara in Guwahati on Tuesday. To be chaired by the Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Ms. Ambika Soni, the conference is supposed to be attended by the Information and Public Relations Ministers of all the North-Eastern states, including Sikkim. It may be recalled that the first All India Editors’ Conference was also held in Assam in 2005.<br/>
