The government has said that there have been some issues about availability of 3G spectrum for auction in different service areas causing delay in finalizing the number of 3G slots to be auctioned. This was stated by the Minister of Communication and IT, Mr A Raja, in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha today. He said as per the time table given in the Notice Inviting Applications (NIA) by the Department of Telecommunications, the 3G auction is scheduled to start on 9th of April this year.
