President Pranab Mukherjee has approved award of 398 Gallantry and other Defence decorations to Armed Forces personnel and others on the eve of the 68th Republic Day Celebrations. <br/><br/>Lance Havildar Prem Bahadur Resmi Magar has been selected for Kirti Chakra posthumously besides Major Rohit Suri. 12 Armed Forces personnel will be given Shaurya Chakras while 29 have been selected for Param Vishisht Seva Medal including Lt Gen Praveen Bakshi and Lt Gen P M Hariz, who were superseded by Gen Bipin Rawat in the race for Army chief. <br/><br/>Uttam Yudh Seva Medal will be given to five army personnel, two personel will be given Bar to Ati Vishisht Seva Medal, 49 Ati Vishisht Seva Medal and 14 Yudh Seva Medal.<br/><br/>Besides, three have been selected for Bar to Sena Medal , 36 for Sena Medal for devotion for duty and 91 Sena Medal Gallantry. <br/><br/>The President has also approved seven awards to Indian Coast Guard Personnel for gallantry, meritorious service and distinguished service. Besides these, 44 personnel from Army and others have also been awarded 'Mention-in-Despatches' by the Government, which include four for Operation Meghdoot, 32 for Operation Rakshak, five for Operation Rhino, two for Operation Orchid and one for Operation Hifazat'.
