39 new positive Covid-19 cases were confirmed in Kerala  taking the total number of presently infected patients to 164 in the State. <br />'' <br />'' AIR correspondent reports, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that the the  newly confirmed Covid 19 patients are mostly gulf returned individuals and rest are primary contact individuals and till now there is no evidence community spread in the State. Out of the 39 newly confirmed cases, 34 covid 19 infected people are from kasargode.<br />'' <br />'' Mr Vijayan said that the situation is extreme serious and more stringent measures will be taken. The medical facility including testing labs, isolation wards and ventilator facility is being enhanced across the  State. Government plans to conduct rapid test at large scale for which the permission is awaited.<br />'' <br />'' State Government will also seek permission to test the medicine from Cuba. Mr Vijayan further said that the worst hit Kasargode, which is very close to karnataka is facing serious problem as the people is not able to seek medical facility in nearby hospitals in Karnataka  as the boundaries are closed and this matter will be taken up with  the Centre.Chief Minister urged people to be and to fully cooperate with social distancing as government only  cannot fight this battle. He assured that Kerala is fully prepared to meet any kind of situation.<br />''
