In Bihar, 36 people have died in rain-related incidents throughout the state. Maximum 14 people have lost their lives in Kaimur, Gaya and Sasaram. Torrential rains have worsened the situation in several parts of the state, including Patna, Nawada, Vaishali, Bhagalpur and Purnea.<br />'' <br />'' Over 200 mm rainfall has been recorded in Patna. The capital is witnessing flood-like situation with low lying areas being inundated. People have been confined to their homes NDRF jawans are evacuating affected people. FM transmission of AIR Patna has been shut down due to waterlogging in the centre. Trains passing through Patna have cancelled. Long route trains have been diverted.  <br />'' <br />'' Flights could not land at Patna airport due to inclement weather. The water level of several rivers, including Ganga, Nagmayi, Sone and Punpun are flowing above the danger mark. <br />'' <br />'' Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is personally monitoring relief and rescue operations. The state government has instructed to step up relief and rescue operations in the affected areas.<br />''
