At the 35th National Games being held in Kerala, Services continues to be on top of the medals tally with 42 gold medals, 13 silver medals and 14 bronze medals, followed by Maharashtra in the second position with 27 gold medals, 36 silver medals and 29 bronze medals. Haryana is a close third with 27 gold medals,18 silver medals and 7 bronze medals. Hosts Kerala are in the fourth place with 16 gold medals, 14 silver medals and 23 bronze medals. In archery, Punjab and Arunachal Pradesh today won a gold medal each. The prestigious athletics events in the games begin at Thiruvananthapuram tomorrow. Fencing and Badminton events too will start at Kochi tomorrow.
