Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given his best wishes to all the athletes participating in the 35th National Games. The 35th National Games will begin today in Kerala. The opening ceremony will be held at the Green Field Stadium at the outskirts of Thiruvananthapuram this evening, with cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar as the chief guest. All India Radio will broadcast live commentary alternately in Hindi and English on the opening ceremony. It can be heard on Rajdhani and FM Rainbow in Delhi, on FM Gold in other metros and on additional frequencies in rest of the country , from 5.55 PM. The competitions will begin tomorrow. The event will be held at 29 venues spread over seven districts of the state and will end on the 14th of February. This is for the first time that the National Games are being held in more than one district. About 10,000 athletes including officials will take part in the Games.
