In Jammu and Kashmir 35,000 troops have been withdrawn and their camps closed during the current tenure of the NC-Congress government. <br/><br/>This was stated by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in the state Assembly on Thursday. Replying on the grants of departments of Home, General Administration and Power, the Chief Minister said as and when the security situation improves, the army footprint will be decreased.
