In Reasi district of Jammu & Kashmir, 35000 job cards have been issued so far and 2, 40, 721 mandays generated during 2009-10 which include 10777 mandays worked by the women. 735 works were approved against which 517 works were taken up and 193 rural works have been completed besides 324 works are in speedy progress. 43186 actual households were estimated against which 10553 households demanded employment and 10413 households were provided employment during the period so far.<br/><br/>During the current financial year 2009-10 a total of 2389 works amounting to an estimated cost of Rs.2027.49 lacs have been proposed in annual action plan which include 510 works in block Reasi for an estimated cost of Rs, 515.36 lacs, 416 works in Pouni block for an estimated cost of Rs. 345.83 lacs, 948 works in Arnas block for an estimated cost of Rs. 621.80 lacs and 515 works in Mahore block for an estimated cost of Rs. 544.50 lacs.<br/><br/>The Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India has sanctioned labour budget of district Reasi for Rs. 886.70 lacs for the current financial year.
