350 MGNREGA works start in Ladakh

<span style="color: #222222;">In Ladakh, more than 350 MGNREGA works have been started and almost 50 per cent of the works stand completed while as the remaining are at the verge of completion.<br />'' <br />'' Tsering Yangchan of Bodh Kharboo, Kargil while talking to AIR News said that MGNREGA Works has been a backbone for the poor families during these days of Lockdown and are serving the family as a source of income. <br />''<br />''She thanked the Government for coming out for saving the poor families in these tough days. She also thanked the Government for Providing Free Ration and Cylinder at their Doorstep during these days of Lockdown.<br />''<br />''Deputy Commissioner Kargil Baseer Ul-Haq Chowdhary said that as regards to other public welfare activities carried out by the Administration during the lockdown period, 3,500 registered labourers have been provided with labour assistance @ 1,000 rupees per labourer. <br />''<br />''He further said that free rice distribution for three months for PHH/BPL households under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana has already been completed in all areas of the district and Kargil holds the distinction of completing the process first. He further said that distribution of free pulses among the eligible beneficiaries under PMGKY has already started in the district recently.</span><br />
