In Pakistan, at least 35 people have been killed and 30 others are missing after an avalanche hit a remote village in the north-west. The avalanche hit the village of Kundian in Kohistan, about 200 kilometres north of the capital Islamabad. The regional police chief said roads were blocked by landslides and several feet of snow affecting the rescue efforts. On Monday, a mass of snow killed seven people about 150 kilometres from Kundian.
