The Centre today said that 35 Multi-Modal Logistics Parks are to be developed under the Bharatmala Pariyojana across the country. In a written reply in the Lok Sabha, Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari said these parks will aggregate and disaggregate cargo and also provide an intermodal shift from Roads to Railways and Waterways and vice-versa. The parks will also facilitate the shift from point-to-point movement of cargo to a hub and spoke models. He said these activities are expected to increase the logistics efficiency in the country, besides bringing down logistics costs.<br />''
