The curtain came down on the 34th National Games on Saturday with a spectacular ceremony at the packed Birsa Munda athletic stadium in Ranchi. Services Sports Control Board have topped the medals table with 70 gold, 50 silver and 42 bronze to emerge overall champions for a second time in succession. Swimmers Virdhawal Khade and Richa Mishra have been adjudged best male and female athletes of the 34th National Games. Services Sports Control Board were given the Raja Bhalendra Trophy for Champions team. A special award of Best State was also given to Manipur who finished second with a haul of 48 gold, 37 silver and 33 bronze medals.
