In Karnataka, 348 Recruit trainees from No 1 Army Service Corps Training Centre joined the Ranks of the Indian Army and attained status of a regular soldier at an impressive and solemn passing out and attestation parade held at the ASC Centre and College in Bengaluru today. <br/><br/>In keeping with the age old military tradition, these recruits were administered the oath of allegiance and devotion of duty by the Regimental Religious Teachers. Passing out Parade cum oath taking ceremony marks the culmination of rigorous Basic Military Training and Department Technical Training at the Centre. Brigadier Harsh Chibber, Commandant, No 1 ASC Training Centre reviewed the parade. <br/><br/>In his address, he asked the young soldiers to dedicate themselves to the service of the nation. He complimented the young soldiers for their impressive turnout and drill. Senior officers from ASC Centre and College were also present on the occasion. It was indeed a proud moment for the kith and kin of these recruits who had come from far flung areas to witness the eventful ceremony in which their wards participated.
