A Special CBI Court of Ranchi today pronounced sentences for 34 convicts of in the Fodder Scam case.
Out of these 34, 12 are Senior Government Servants of Animal Husbandry department, two from State Treasury department and remaining 18 are suppliers.
The sentences range from one to six years of imprisonment and fines from 10 thousand rupees to three lakh rupees.
AIR Correspondent reports, the case relates to illegal withdrawals of nearly seven crore rupees from Doranda Treasury in Ranchi from 1980 to 1990.
The case was registered in 1996 and today judgement came after a trial which lasted for 16 years.
