About 333 crore rupees have been released so far to seven States in the eastern part of the country for extending Green Revolution during the current financial year. According to an official release, the Centre has allocated 400 crore rupees for this programme under the Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY) during this fiscal. The programme targets improvement in the rice based cropping system in the selected States.
