In Assam, 330 villages are still reeling under flood water in Dhemaji district. Flood water washed away at least 900 homes and 3 Mini Primary Health Centers. Surface communication in many places also disrupted due to the flood in the district. People have taken shelter at high embankments and relief camps. Health department deployed medical teams along with necessary medicines .Official sources said that 8 people has been suffering from Malaria and 2 in Encephalitis in Dhemaji. Meanwhile, death toll mounted to 124 in flood and landslides while 17 still remained untraceable. Flood water damaged 2 lakh 55 thousand hectare standing crops.
