31st IITF: Handicrafts, SME products to be major attraction

Indian handicrafts from all states across the country and products made by small and medium enterprises will be the major attraction at the 31st edition of the India International Trade Fair beginning in New Delhi on Monday. Apart from domestic participants, exhibitors from over 33 foreign countries will display their products at the fair to be held at Pragati Maidan. The fair to be inaugurated by Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee is reserved exclusively for business visitors.AIR correspondent reports, the fair will be open to the general public from 19th to 27th November. Apart from products ranging from textiles, garments and jewellery, telecommunications, power, electronic and engineering goods will also be exhibited at the show. The fair will showcase the technological and industrial growth in the different states and union territories across the country. While West Bengal and Jharkhand are the partner states this year, Bihar and Orissa are the focus states. Delhi Police has made elaborate security arrangements for the fourteen day long event.
