In West Bengal, at least 31 people were killed in a cyclonic storm at North Dinajpur district. <br/><br/>According to official sources, the storm which lashed in the district last night caused havoc in which around 50 thousand mud houses were destroyed and electricity connections have been snapped. <br/><br/>The Karandighi Sub Division in the district is the worst affected where 18 people were died. <br/><br/>The District Administration has opened a control room to co-ordinate the relief and rescue works. <br/>
