Latest reports from Uttarakhand say that 300 pilgrims from Badrinath were air lifted while one hundred pilgrims reached Joshimath covering the distance on foot.
However, bad weather hampered relief and rescue operation in Pithoragarh district and no pilgrims could be air lifted in Munsyari and Dharchula regions.
Meanwhile, BRO has opened the national highway connecting Badkot-Rishikesh and Rishikesh-Uttarkashi for traffic.
The Uttarakhand government said after evacuation on Sunday, only 500 people are now in Badrinath with adequate food and medical care.
The Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna said a 200-member team consisting of officials of various departments is being sent along with equipment provided by the NDRF to both Kedarnath and Rambada to extricate the bodies and expedite the process of their disposal.
He said the team includes officials from police, health, animal husbandry experts and sanitation.
