300 nominations filed for 2nd phase WB polls

Altogether 300 nominations have been filed for second phase of elections to the West Bengal State Assembly to be held on the 27th of this month. Elections in this phase would be held in Kolkata, North and South 24 Parganas Districts. For the fourth phase of poll to be held on the third of next month, up to now 11 nominations have been filed. Speaking to newspersons the state Additional Chief Electoral Officer Mr. N.K.Sahana said that, the Election Commission is keeping no stone unturned to ensure free and fair elections.Meanwhile, the West Bengal State BJP is of the opinion that there has been massive change in the political equation in the state after the Panchayet and Lok Sabha elections last year. Talking to newspersons in Kolkata today the BJP State President Mr. Rahul Sinha said that, it will not be possible for any party to get absolute majority.Mr. Sinha said that, his party would fight the State Elections exemplifying what he called the smooth running of Government during the NDA regime and the able administration witnessed in the BJP rules states. Mr. Rahul Sinha said that, the top BJP leaders like L.K. Advani, Sushma Swaraj and Narendra Modi would come for campaigning in the West Bengal Election.
