In West Bengal, 300 candidates are in the fray after scrutiny of nomination papers for the second phase of election in the state. 10 nominations were rejected after scrutiny of nominations yesterday. Tomorrow is the last day of withdrawal of candidature for this phase of election. The second phase polls will take place in Murshidabad, Nadia, Birbhum districts on 23rd of this month. Meanwhile, filing of nominations is also on for third and fourth phase of elections. The campaigning for first phase poll is gradually gaining momentum where voting will take place on 18th of this month covering six North Bengal districts.
