In Assam, the death toll in the accident that occurred when a goods-laden truck from West Bengal collided with two vehicles at Kismat Dwarika under Sorobhog police station in Barpeta early this morning.has risen to 30. 22 people died on the spot.

17 injured have been admitted to hospitals in Barpeta and Bongaigaon. Four of them are said to be in a critical condition.The truck driver is in police custody. All the deceased were from Dhubri district and engaged in the brick kiln industry as labourers.
