In Pakistan, 30 militants and six soldiers were killed today during a gun battle in the country's tribal region. Pakistani military officials said the fighting took place in Orakzai Agency, a tribal region bordering Afghanitan. The officials said 10 soldiers and several militants were also injured in the fighting. They said security forces have taken control of key ground in the region after tough resistance from the militants.
