In Iraq, at least 30 people have been killed and 168 others injured in three large blasts in the centre of the capital, Baghdad. The blasts hit in quick succession with one explosion struck near the Iranian embassy. The other two hit in the Mansour district to the west of the centre of the city. Reports say Sunday's explosions went off within a few minutes of each other shaking the whole of central Baghdad and sending plumes of smoke into the sky.A spokesman for the political group headed by Ahmad Chalabi, the Iraqi National Congress, said that its headquarters close to the Syrian embassy had been targeted by a suicide car bomber, and that many of its guards and employees were among the casualties.
