In Jharkhand, three polling officials and five jawans were killed and nine others injured in Shikaripara block of Dumka district when naxals triggered a landmine blast.

The incident happened last evening around 4:30 when the polling party was returning in two vehicles after conducting the poll at Asna. The injured have been admitted to a hospital in Dumka. The earlier two phases of elections in the state were peaceful.
