Three plastic factories were completely gutted today when a huge fire broke out in one of them in Howrah district of West Bengal. None of the plastic industrial units had fire safety devices in their plants. According to fire brigade official, an electric short-circuit is said to be the reason of the fire. The fire was so huge that 30 fire tenders had to be pressed into service. There is no report of any injury or death due to the fire.
