3 people including one RPF Jawan killed in Naxal attack on Dhanbad-Patna Intercity express in Bihar

In Bihar, three people including one RPF jawan were killed and six others injured in a naxal attack on the Dhanbad-Patna Intercity express. Railway sources said in Patna that one of the injured is serious.

Police said that 100-odd Naxals fired indiscriminately at the Inter-city Express after forcibly stopping the train between Bhalui and Kundra railway stations in Jamui district.

Our Patna Correspondent reports that the Intercity Express was attacked near Kundra halt around 1:30 PM. According to railway sources Maoist snatched arms from RPF jawans after half an hour of gun battle. CRPF teams from Lakhisarai and Jamui districts have been rushed to the spot.

Railways has setup help line numbers at Dhanbad which are 0326- 2220016, 0326- 2220017 and 0326- 2220018.
