In Uttar Pradesh, the death toll due to encephalitis or brain fever has risen to over 250 this year as three more patients succumbed to the virus-borne disease during past 3 days. The dead includes mostly children below 14 years of age.AIR Gorakhpur correspondent quoting official sources says that this year, more than 1000 patients of brain fever have been admitted to the BRD Medical College Hospital. As many as 241 patients are still undergoing treatment at the Hospital.
