The Army today killed three militants in a gun battle in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir.

A Defence Ministry release issued in New Delhi said, on the basis of intelligence inputs, troops of 15 Rashtrya Rifles launched an operation along the LoC in Kishangarh Ridge this morning.

In a fierce gun fight, the militants were gunned down. Three AK-47 Rifles, 15 magazines and 319 rounds of ammunition were recovered from the slain militants.
