3-member Task Force to help resolve Nepal political impasse

In Nepal, three major political parties decided to find a solution through consensus to the current political impasse. Talking to newsmen after a meeting of senior leaders of the three major parties – Nepali Congress, CPN(UML) and the opposition CPN(Maoist) in Kathmandu this afternoon, Vice Chairman of the Unified CPN(Maoist) Narayan Kaji Shrestha said, the meeting formed a three member task force with one representative from each parties to chalk out a draft consensus formula which will be placed in the meeting of the top leaders of the three major parties tomorrow for discussion.<br/>Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Unified CPN (Maoist) Prachanda said there is still possibility of finding a way out to end the current political deadlock and said his party will try its best to seek a solution in the next few days. Maoist Chairman who met the ailing Nepali Congress leader Girija Prasad Koirala in Singapore yesterday decided to find consensus to end the political deadlock through a high level political mechanism among the political parties.<br/>The continuing political deadlock with the Maoist disrupting the parliament proceedings since last six months demanding an apology or a discussion from the President on the reinstatement of the former army chief sacked by the previous Maoist government has not only affected constitution drafting process but delayed the passage of the budget since last four months since it was introduced in the parliament.<br/><br/>
