3 member Bangladeshi delegation reaching New Delhi on Wednesday

A three member delegation led by Mr. Ahmed Hussain Khan, the Director General of the Food Directorate of Bangladesh is reaching New Delhi on Wednesday to negotiate procurement of rice and wheat from India. Mr. Ahmed Hussain Khan told All India Radio that the delegation will hold discussions with the officials of Indian Public sector companies to purchase one lakh tonnes of rice and four lakh tonnes of wheat. <br/><br/>The Bangladesh team will be negotiating the terms and conditions for the procurement of rice and wheat with officials of the State Trading Corporation of India and the Food Corporation of India. He said the final agreement will be signed later in Dhaka. The central government had recently approved the export of one lakh tonnes of non-basmati rice and four lakh tonnes of wheat to Bangladesh through the state run trading firms.
