<br/>In Nepal, three major political parties- Unified CPN(Maoist), Nepali Congress and the CPN(UML) on Wednesday agreed to take forward the constitution drafting process at a meeting convened by the Chairman of the constituent assembly Subhash Nemwang. <br/> <br/>Talking to newsmen after the meeting in Kathmandu, Chairman Nemwang said the top leaders of the three major parties expressed their commitment to give continuity to the constitution drafting process by preparing a fresh time schedule on writing of the statute. He said the parties also agreed to continue discussions on formation of a state restructuring commission and other key features of the constitution. <br/> <br/>AIR Kathmandu Correspondent reports that this was the first meeting the three major political parties convened at the initiative of the Chairman of the constituent assembly with the focus on the drafting of the constitution after the May 28 agreement that extended the term of the constituent assembly.<br/> <br/>"The drafting of the constitution could not be completed during the stipulated two year period following differences among the parties over key features of the new statue on issues relating of the federal structure, form of the government, electoral system and judicial system. <br/> <br/>Today's meeting agreed to continue discussions among the parties to find a package solution on all disputed issues. So far, only two of the total eleven thematic committees have submitted their concept papers to the constituent assembly. The remaining nine committee reports are yet to be discussed in the constituent assembly following differences among the major parties are on key constitutional issues."<br/>
