In Chhattisgarh at least three ‘Koya’ commandoes were killed in an encounter with the police in the Dantewada district today. However the dead body of only one of them has been retrieved at the time of filing of the story. Six jawans were also injured in the shoot out, three of them seriously. The injured jawans have since been airlifted and admitted to the government hospital in Jagdalpur in Bastar district. According to police sources the encounter took place near Sitlaguda under Chintalnar police station area. The jawans belonged to the district police force.Additional police parties have been rushed to the spot for follow up action. On the other hand police also claims to have killed at least 10 naxalites in the encounter. However none of the dead bodies of the slain naxalites has yet been recovered by the police.
