In Jammu & Kashmir, three persons were killed and four injured in two attacks by suspected Lashkar-e-Taiba militants in Kathua district today. In the first attack, three heavily-armed terrorists killed one civilian and injured three others in Hiranagar area. The terrorists also kidnapped the driver and fled in the vehicle of the victim. The body of the driver with slashed throat was found later.

The same group of terrorists was later intercepted near an Army camp and engaged in gun fight. In the ensuing encounter, one soldier was killed while another injured. All three terrorists were also killed in the encounter.
