Three persons were killed and two injured in pre- poll violence in panchayat elections in Vaishali district. The incident occurred when a group of criminals fired indiscriminately at Bahrampur village in Raghopur area late on Friday. The State Government has stepped up security arrangements for the second phase of panchayat polls to be held in 895 gram panchayats on Sunday. The police headquarter has directed DIGs to camp in ultra- infested districts. Additional jawans of Bihar Military Police and Special Task Force would also be deployed in sensitive and hyper sensitive Naxal areas to maintain strict vigil.
