In Meghalaya, three persons were killed on the spot while six others were seriously injured after a Tata Sumo collided head-on with a tanker near Khanapara, Ri-Bhoi district yesterday. One of the deceased has been identified so far. The injured have been shifted to Nongpoh Civil Hospital. In another accident, one person died on the spot while three others sustained serious injuries when a truck went off the road at Rajabagan under Ri-Bhoi district last evening.
