3 killed, 300 injured in massive fire in Nairobi

<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">At least three people were killed while around 300 were injured in a massive fire caused by a gas explosion in the capital Nairobi, Kenya. Government spokesperson Isaac Maigua Mwaura on a social media platform said, the fire broke out last night in the Embakasi neighbourhood, southeast of the capital. He said, a truck of an unknown registration number that was loaded with gas, exploded, igniting a huge ball of fire that spread widely. Consequently, the inferno further damaged several vehicles and commercial properties, including many small and medium-sized businesses. Residential houses in the neighbourhood also caught fire, with a huge number of residents still inside as it was late at night.</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><br />''</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">Embakasi Police Chief Wesley Kimeto said a child was among those who died, adding that the death toll could rise. The area has been cordoned off and an investigation is underway into the cause of the explosion. The fire that broke out as a result is reported to have been contained.
