3 day dharna by LUTF in support of UT demand ends

In Jammu and Kashmir , three-day long dharna being staged by the workers of Ladakh Union Territory Front (LUTF) in support of union territory demand was concluded today with a public meeting at Polo Ground.<br/>The Chief Executive Councilor (CEC) Tsering Dorjey of Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Leh Mr Tsering Dorjey addressing the public rally said that Ladakh has record of hundred percent expenditure during the last two financial years. He condemned the Congress Party allegation of inefficiency of LAHDC , Leh.<br/>Presenting the achievements of developmental activities of LAHDC, Leh under his leadership, Mr Dorjey said that twenty four irrigational khuls and three bridges have been constructed within the time frame in flood affected village of Phyang .<br/> Highlighting the future developmental plan, Mr Dorjey said that the Finance Commission has approved Seventy millions rupees and various schemes worth 100 million with NABARD loan and 14 millions rupees with the Asian Development Bank will be implemented in the district.<br/> He said under the centrally sponsored Project- Ladakh Project, 18 micro hydel projects, 1000 green houses for commercial purposes and 1200 green houses for domestic purposes will be established in the district.<br/> He also said that LAHDC , Leh has prepared a detail report project for Greater Leh Town with the financial implication of four hundred fourteen (Rs 414) million.<br/>
