3-day Budget session of the Tripura Legislative Assembly begins in Agartala

<span style="color: #222222;">The 3-day Budget session of the Tripura Legislative Assembly began today in the state capital Agartala. The state finance minister, Pranajit Singha Roy presented the deficit budget of ?410.69 crore for fiscal year 2024-25. He said, the total Budget allocation for fiscal year 2024-25 is Rs. 27804.67 crore. The capital expenditure is projected at Rs. 6633.80 crores with an increase of 24.26 percent over the RE 2023-24.<br />''</span><br />''He said the state government has given top priority to social security and has enhanced the pension from ?700 per month to ?2000 per month. This he said will help more than 3 lakh 77 thousand beneficiaries. The state finance minister said more than 29,000 people were included under the Mukhyamantri Samajik Sahayak Prakalp from the first of January this year. <br />''<br />''Mr. Roy said that for the development of Nari Shakti construction of four working women hostels is being implemented. Under Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana 6484 pregnant and nursing mothers have been provided with financial benefit.<br />'' <br />''The State Government has proposed to set up two shakti sadan under Mission Shakti of the Centre at Matabari and Teliamura for destitute women with a total project cost of 10.62 crore rupees.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">With regards to fund allocation in the Health sector, the state finance minister has proposed to set up 200 bedded Multi Care Health Unit at Agartala Medical College and GBP hospitals with a project outlay of 192 crore rupees under the Prime Minister's Development initiative for North Eastern Region.</span><br />
