The Patna CBI court convicted three persons involved in the murder of a CPI (ML) leader and former president of the Jawaharal Nehru University Students Union Chandrashekhar. Special CBI Judge Dhirendra Kumar Pandey found them guilty and said the quantum of punishment would be pronounced on Thursday. Chandrashekhar along with two others had been gunned down in Siwan on March 31,1997. He had launched a campaign against corruption and criminalisation of politics in Siwan.
