The Iranian Authorities have admitted that three of the opposition protestors jailed after the disputed Presidential election in the country in June were beaten to death . A statement issued by the Iranian Judiciary said the three prisoners died as a result of what it termed as abnormal treatment and physical beatings inflicted on them in the aftermath of the June elections. Earlier, the Iranian authorities had said that the men had died of meningitis. The prison where the incident took place has since been closed. .
