The Iranian Authorities have admitted that three of the opposition protestors jailed after the disputed Presidential election in the country in June were beaten to death . A statement issued by the Iranian Judiciary said the three prisoners died as a result of what it termed as abnormal treatment and physical beatings inflicted on them in the aftermath of the June elections. <br/><br/>Earlier, the Iranian authorities had said that the men had died of meningitis. The prison where the incident took place has since been closed.<br/><br/>AIR Dubai Correspondent reports that Iran’s channel press TV quoting a statement from the Judicial Organization for the Armed Forces yesterday announced that the 12 police officers, involved in fatal violence at Tehran's infamous Kahrizak facility have been charged with first degree murder over direct involvement in the beatings that led to the deaths.<br/><br/>The Kahrizak detention center had been declared as a sub-standard facility in august this year and country’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei ordered the immediate closure of the facility.<br/><br/>
